EN10056 Structural Steel Equal Leg Angles

Equal legged angle steel, also known as angle iron, is an angular steel with two parallel legs. This steel is mainly used in building structures, curtain walls, mechanical frames and other similar structures.
According to EN 10056, the dimensions and weights of equal-legged angles shall comply with the following standards:
Leg width (b): 50mm to 200mm
Leg thickness (t): 3mm to 16mm
Limb back width (bw): 50mm to 120mm
Formula for calculation of cross-sectional area: S=0.0127×b+1.57×t
Theoretical weight calculation formula: s=(b×t)+(b-t)×t×0.02466
It should be noted that the above specifications are only applicable to equal-legged angles, and their dimensions, weights and mechanical properties should be in accordance with EN10056.
